Women’s Suffrage Centennial Prize

         The Ohio Women’s Suffrage Centennial is sponsoring a (1) prize at each Regional History Day Contest for a (1) project that focuses on Women’s Suffrage or Women’s Activism. The winner will receive a $100.00 prize and be invited to participate at the Ohio Suffrage Celebration on August 7, 2020, at the Ohio Statehouse.

Eligibility

         The project must include high quality research, showing the use of both primary and secondary sources, and focus on the Women’s Suffrage Movement or on other movements in which a woman or women have played a central role.

How to Apply

     Students must email/mail:

  1. the process paper;
  2. annotated bibliography;
  3. Teacher’s name;

to their Regional Coordinator by February 28, 2020. Please include “Women’s Suffrage Centennial Prize” in the email’s subject line.

Once the entry is selected, the OHC staff member will present the award during the Region’s Award Ceremony, on behalf of the Ohio Women’s Suffrage Centennial Committee. After the Regional Contest(s), the State Coordinator will send the monetary prize(s) to the student(s).
